The films will be played at the Clear Creek Festival Grounds on the night of Friday, September 4 beginning at 8 p.m. alongside music from local artists. This year's film festival will also feature a special screening of short works and rare footage from the Appalshop archives in celebration of its 40th Anniversary!
There will also be a special event on Thursday, September 3 featuring Appalshop filmmakers Elizabeth Barret and Mimi Pickering as part of the Al Smith Fellowship Filmmakers Tour sponsored by the Kentucky Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. The festival grounds are an amazing space to have your film screened as it is a natural outdoor amphitheater.
